Write for us
We welcome considered pitches about visual art that help a general reader notice, understand or try something new. A strong proposal has a clear subject, a distinct point and a reason it will remain useful.
What to pitch
Ideas may explore looking, materials, making, art history or interpretation. We are interested in specific subjects with enough substance for a focused article, rather than broad surveys or promotional profiles. Practical ideas should be safe to try without specialist equipment or professional oversight.
What makes a good proposal
Tell us the working title, central idea, intended reader and the main points you would cover. Explain what makes the angle distinct and note any sources or relevant experience you would draw on. Please disclose relevant commercial or personal connections.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page, choosing the editorial question option and making clear that your message is a pitch. Unsolicited full drafts are not required. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
